Overview

Our client is well established operator within the Hospitality industry and is looking for a Sous Chef to join their kitchen brigade. The chosen candidate will assist the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen.

Main Duties
Ensuring that the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity
Assist the Head Chef in checking that timetables, leave rosters and attendance registers are up-to-date
Ensuring that all statutory, as well as company, hygiene regulations are being strictly adhered to
Checking that regular on-the-job training is carried out so that subordinate staff perform their duties correctly
Assisting in the HACCP for all areas within the kitchen and its outlets
Conferring and communicating with the Head Chef regarding policies and procedures between kitchens and the food and beverage department

Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role​
Relevant qualification from ITS would be considered an asset
Candidate must be able to communicate in English and ideally Maltese
Knowledge about all Health and Safety and food handling procedures
Computer literate
