Overview

Our client is well established within the Food & Beverage industry and is looking for a Head Chef to manage one of their most successful outlets. The chosen candidate will manage the day to day running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate Effectively and efficiently with directors and colleagues
Lead with passion, integrity, determination, responsibly and professionally
Be responsible for kitchen manpower according to demand as well as be proactive and market savvy
Be hands on in ongoing management, recruiting, coaching and training of kitchen manpower according to the company’s standards
Effectively manage stock and costs to avoid wastage and reach pre-set targets
Deliver high quality food within an acceptable time frame set by company standard
Provide consistency by sourcing good quality ingredients and following the menu standards
Periodically revise menus and efficiently updating according to trends and demand
See to the upkeep of kitchen equipment, storage as well as health and safety procedures

Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role
Relevant qualification from ITS would be considered an asset
Excellent team player
Candidate must be able to communicate in Maltese & English
Able to work under pressure
Knowledge about all Health and Safety and food handling procedures
Computer literate
